Together with a group of friends they called, "Associates," Bidnessmen recorded two albums, "Open Faux Bidness," in 2000, and "Bidnessmen and Associates," in 2007;  two collections of original music, crafted at Jere's Barking Dog Studio, in Nashville, TN and Peter Keeble's Broken Door Studio, in Sewanee, TN.

"Bidnessmen and Associates" saw more Bill Cole originals, John Nichols' collaboration with Susan Breining (now Oven), as well as some of Jere Ellis' best songs, and John Nichols' and Dale Brown's big arrangement of Bill Davidson's local classic, "San Bernardino".

Following Wardlaw's move to San Fransisco, and Bill Davidson's pursuit of another immediate opportunity, Billy, Jere and John took some unspoken time off for several months, to reassess.  During this time, John met a woman who would write poetry that John turned into four songs.  Building tracks to minimize the amount of effort needed from Billy and Jere, he prepared two of the four songs and readied them for vocals.

In the meantime, in an effort to kickstart the band, Jere decided he wanted to give his song, "One Out of Three," a song he had attempted to record before, with less than satisfactory results, one more try.  The band had been playing it, live, and he had written the guitar parts AND the bass part, so he set up a session with Billy on drums, John on piano and himself playing the rhythm guitar.  The energy kicked in and off and running they were, recording "Bidnessmen and Associates."

"One Out of Three," Jere Ellis' song about women, music and money

"(Ain't it) Just Like Me," John Nichols' and Susan Breining (Oven)'s song about a twisted relationship

"Eye to Eye," Billy and Jere's song about the need to be careful at all times ...

"She Came to Me," A song by John, Wardlaw and Billy, about a woman who can be a hero, featuring John's "guitar army,"
with Dale Brown and Jere on lead guitars ...

"Take Her To Her Dreams," or as Billy says, "If you want to take her down ..."
