Monkey Bidness Music
Howard, Howard and Fine
From 1983 until 1985, Bill Cole, Jere Ellis and Wardlaw Steele recorded as a trio, not really ever naming their "group." They recorded two cassette records, that they gave out to friends: Christmas 1983 and Christmas 1984.
Through the years (even into the Bidnessmen years), Jimmy Calloway joined and Wardlaw came and went, until 1983, when they began calling themselves "Cole, Ellis and Steele." They, together with Peter Keeble, who had also just opened his studio, Broken Door Studio, started to record at both Pete's place and Jere's new, Barking Dog Studio.
But in 1985, When it was just Jimmy Calloway, Bill Cole and Jere Ellis, you got "Howard, Howard and Fine."
And so in 1985, that Rock'n'Roll Classic:
