We're Gonna Hate Ourselves in the Morning
Arthur Alexander and Dale Ward
Bill Davidson - drums, bass, lead and backing vocals;
Jere Ellis - rhythm and lead guitars, backing vocals; John Nichols - backing vocals;
with:
Moody Castleman - electric piano, organ; Bill Cole - backing vocals;
This song actually started as a Bidnessmen recording, and was to feature their new "utility man" who had come over from the 1969 Band, Moody Castleman, on organ and electric piano. Moody didn't stick around too long, and after Bill Cole and John Nichols added the backing vocals, Bidnessmen broke up.
Billy D. and Jere resurrected the tracks, added Jere's solo guitar, and all new lead vocals by Bill, and the song was finished. Since it was finished by the Quarters, it is the second track on "Wooden Nickels." It is one of two covers recorded by the group, in any incarnation from Cole, Ellis and Steele, to the Dirty Quarters, that weren't live performances.
