Jere introduced this easy, breezy song to Les Bright and the Dimwitz, and had actually started a track with them, when he decided to try it also with the Quarters. He already had his acoustic guitar and Edwin's electric piano tracks, so Ray and John just added their parts onto it.  To give it a truly "outdoors feel," John and Jere decided to capture the sound of a rain storm, so they set up a mic inside the door but pointed outside, and just recorded what was going on in nature in the studio's yard.  At the end of the track, the rain began to subside, and a mockingbird started to sing. John convinced Jere to give the song to Emily to sing and she does so with a requested Latin flavor, given her husband's Mexican family and heritage.
